Minimum materials needed

Levels 1 – 125

Levels 126 – 225

Make sure that you are at least level 35 prior to completing the next step.

Before you go to Hammerfall, it’s best to have at least 75 Mageweave cloth and 70 Runecloth as this will save you coming back to see the Doctor.

Triage Quest

For this quest you have to save 15 patients before 6 of them die. You will be in a room with 6 cots, stand in the middle so you are close to all of them. You might need to change the camera angle and zoom out to see them all.

Use (“V”) to show all the patients status on screen. You will have special triage bandages (add them to your action bar/hot key) which should be applied to Critically injured, then Badly injured, and then injured. Once you started treating a patient do not interupt, just finish treating that patient before moving on to another patient. You should select your next patient before your are finished with the first one, then all you have to do is hit you hot key to start the next one.

You MUST use the special bandages you are given or you WILL FAIL.

*If your having trouble getting Runecloth because your only level 35ish, then just continue to make Heavy Mageweave Bandages all the way to 300. I’m not sure how much extra Mageweave you’ll need for that, but I’m guessing its going to be about 140-150 extra.

What Each Bandage Heals

Sours: https://www.warcrafttavern.com/wow-classic/guides/first-aid-1-300/

Summary

First Aid allows you to create various bandages that can be used to heal yourself and other players. It consists of two parts - making bandages, and applying them. Bandages are created from cloth (Linen, Wool, Silk etc). The higher the quality of the material used, the more effective the bandage. However, a certain minimum skill level is required to both make and use the higher-level bandages. In addition to bandages, First Aid practicioners can also make anti-venom potions, but these are not as powerful as the anti-venom made by Alchemists.

Bandages are primarily used by classes that do not possess the ability to heal themselves, such as Rogues or Warriors. Soloing downtime can be greatly reduced by the use of bandages by these classes. Bandages can also be used in group or raid situations to reduce the load on main healers by allowing players to heal themselves and each other quickly.

Bandaging can be applied both in and out of combat, but if either player is hit then the process is interrupted and cancelled. A bandage can only be applied on a player once every 60 seconds due to a debuff. In combat, bandaging can also be useful after disabling your opponent using Entangling Roots or Rogue stun effects.

Requirements

None.

Suggested Classes

First Aid is almost essential for any Non-healer class to learn as a secondary profession. Healer classes may choose to learn First Aid to reduce downtime for health regeneration without using up mana.

All Classes involved in upper-level raiding, starting as low as UBRS, should have maxed out their first aid. First aid helps greatly in fights such as Kurinaxx, Moam, Shazzrah, Ragnaros, Razorgore, and many more.

Manual Location Guide

To reach Expert skill in First Aid (above level 150), you need the "Expert First Aid - Under Wraps" manual (1 Gold).

  • For Alliance players, this manual is sold by Deneb Walker, in the Arathi Highlands near Stromgarde Keep (tloc 26,58)
  • For Horde players, this manual is sold by Balai Lok'Wein, in the Dustwallow Marsh near Brackenwall Village (tloc 36,30)

Note: The above items are books, not normal trained skills. You can buy them even if you don't have the requisite First Aid level and use them later. This will save you travel time, if you have the cash available.

To reach Artisan skill in First Aid (above level 225), you will need to complete a quest:

  • Alliance players will need to complete the Triage quest in Theramore, Dustwallow Marsh.
  • Horde players will need to complete the Horde Trauma quest in Hammerfall, Arathi Highlands.

To qualify for the Artisan First Aid quest, you must be level 35 and have First Aid at 225 (earlier versions of WoW required you to be level 40 and also know how to make Mageweave Bandages). The three highest-level bandages are taught by the artisan quest-giver without charge as your skill increases.

Classic First Aid Profession and Leveling Guide

First Aid is an ubiquitous profession in WoW Classic, as nearly everyone will use it from early on for its bandages, which allow any class to do Mana-free healing. Also, because it is a secondary profession, learning it will not stop you from taking up the other secondary professions, or interfere with your two primary professions.

Bandages, such as Heavy Runecloth Bandage IconHeavy Runecloth Bandage, are items created by First Aid that you can channel to heal yourself or nearby allies, placing the Recently Bandaged IconRecently Bandaged debuff on them as a result. This debuff prevents further bandage healing and has a 60-second duration. Be careful, however, as if either the player applying the bandage or the one receiving it takes any damage during the channel it will be canceled immediately.

Using bandages is especially useful on Loatheb, as healers have a 60 second cooldown on all of their heals, and as such only the tank will be receiving any heals, with the rest being left to bandages and potions.

Anti-Venoms, such as Powerful Anti-Venom IconPowerful Anti-Venom, are also created with this profession, and allow you to instantly cure poisons on a target. You can only use one every minute.

All of First Aid's items are consumed when used. To create bandages, you need cloths, which are obtained from killing Humanoid / Undead / Demon enemies. To create Anti-Venoms, you need venom sacs, which drop from poisonous beasts, such as Spiders and Scorpions.

How to Quickly Level First Aid from 1 to 300

In order to level First Aid efficiently, you will want to focus on orange or yellow recipes, as those provide reliable skill ups, while green recipes will rarely grant you a skill point, making them only worth it when the alternatives are very expensive. Also, keep in mind that gray recipes cannot give you a skill point at all.

For details on what items to craft for each skill point, we recommend following WoW Professions' First Aid leveling guide.

For 1-150, you will be an Apprentice. Learn the skill from the trainers nearby your starting area and craft Linen and Wool items to get to 150. Make sure to learn Silk Bandage IconSilk Bandage as soon as you can, as the next steps do not involve your trainer.

To level past 150, you need to buy and use Expert First Aid - Under Wraps IconExpert First Aid - Under Wraps. This item can be bought from:

  • [H] Balai Lok'Wein: Dustwallow Marsh, around 37,30;
  • [A] Deneb Walker: Arathi Highlands, around 27,59.

You should also buy and learn Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage IconManual: Heavy Silk Bandage and Manual: Mageweave Bandage IconManual: Mageweave Bandage, which will allow you to skill up to 225 where you will be able to unlock Artisan First Aid through a quest.

In order to unlock 225-300 First Aid you need to first complete the Triage quest, which requires 225 First Aid skill and level 35 or above. This quest is started by the following NPCs:

  • [H] Doctor Gregory Victor: Arathi Highlands, around 73,37;
  • [A] Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen who is at the 68,49 map coordinates in Dustwallow Marsh.

Triage requires you to save 15 patients without more than 6 deaths by bandaging them with Triage Bandage IconTriage Bandage, which is provided for the quest. In order to hit this goal, you need to prioritize bandaging the most injured NPCs first:

  • Critically Injured Soldier should be bandaged as soon as you finish your current cast as they will die very fast, otherwise.
  • Badly Injured Soldier should be bandaged whenever there are no critically injured targets nearby, or if they have been around for more than one or two bandages on different targets.
  • Injured Soldier should be bandaged whenever there are no other targets to heal, or if they have been left around for a while, as they will still eventually die if not attended to.

Make sure to hotkey Triage Bandage IconTriage Bandage, and position yourself centrally in the room to minimize time spend not bandaging targets!

300 Skill Level Recipe: Powerful Anti-Venom

Once you are Honored with the Argent Dawn faction and have 300 First Aid skill, make sure to buy Formula: Powerful Anti-Venom IconFormula: Powerful Anti-Venom from one of these vendors:

  • [A/H] Quartermaster Miranda Breechlock: Eastern Plaguelands, around 82,60;
  • [A/H] Argent Quartermaster Lightspark: Western Plaguelands, around 43,84;
  • [A/H] Argent Quartermaster Hasana: Tirisfal Glades, around 83,68.

Learning this recipe will allow you to create Powerful Anti-Venom IconPowerful Anti-Venom, the most of powerful of its kind, which can dispel any poison in PvP, which is extremely handy against Rogues' Crippling Poison IconCrippling Poison and Hunters' Viper Sting IconViper Sting.

You can also use Powerful Anti-Venom IconPowerful Anti-Venom on allies who are crowd controlled by poisons, such as Blind IconBlind. This is often the difference between victory and defeat in organized PvP, so be ready to do it at a moment's notice!

WoW Classic - Alliance Triage Quest (Artisan First Aid)

Published November 27, 2018

First Aid is a relatively easy profession that is very possible to level to 300 while you are leveling your character from 1-60.Pick up the First Aid skill from a First Aid trainer as soon as possible and start leveling it. Even if you aren’t using the bandages to decrease your downtime (hint: you should!), simply keep them in your bags/bank and craft all of the bandages you can every time you visit town to vendor/train.

Required Materials

The amount of cloth required will vary depending on how lucky you are. Here are some range estimates of how much cloth you’ll need of each type. To do this as cheaply as possible, start by buying the minimum amount and then buy more as needed.

1-40 (Requires Level 5)

Learn Linen Bandage from any First Aid trainer.

Craft Linen Bandage (1 linen cloth per bandage).

40-80 (75+ requires level 10)

Learn Heavy Linen Bandage from any First Aid trainer.

Craft Heavy Linen Bandage (2 linen cloth per bandage). This turns green at 75– unfortunately you just have to deal with it.

80-115

Learn Wool Bandage from any First Aid trainer.

Craft Wool Bandage (1 wool cloth per bandage).

115-150

Learn Heavy Wool Bandage from any First Aid trainer.

Craft Heavy Wool Bandage (2 wool cloth per bandage).

150-180 (Requires Expert First Aid and level 20)

Purchase all three books from the Auction House or your faction’s vendor: Deneb Walker – Arathi Highlands (Stromgarde Keep) [Alliance] / Balai Lok’Wein – Dustwallow Marsh (Brackenwall Village) [Horde]

Learn Expert First Aid – Under Wraps from the book.

Craft Silk Bandage (1 silk cloth per bandage).

180-210

Learn (or purchase) Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage. If you didn’t buy this earlier, you can get it from the Auction House or Deneb Walker – Arathi Highlands (Stromgarde Keep) [Alliance] / Balai Lok’Wein – Dustwallow Marsh (Brackenwall Village) [Horde].

Craft Heavy Silk Bandage (2 silk cloth per bandage).

210-240 (225+ requires First Aid Quest and level 35+)

Learn (or purchase) Manual: Mageweave Bandage. If you didn’t buy this earlier, you can get it from the Auction House or Deneb Walker – Arathi Highlands (Stromgarde Keep) [Alliance] / Balai Lok’Wein – Dustwallow Marsh (Brackenwall Village) [Horde].

Craft Mageweave Bandage (1 mageweave cloth per bandage).

At 225 First Aid (and level 35), complete the following quest:

240-260

Speak to Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen (Alliance) or Doctor Gregory Victor (Horde) to learn Heavy Mageweave Bandage.

Craft Heavy Mageweave Bandage (2 mageweave cloth per bandage).

260-290

Speak to Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen (Alliance) or Doctor Gregory Victor (Horde) to learn Runecloth Bandage.

Craft Runecloth Bandage (1 runecloth per bandage).

290-300

Speak to Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen (Alliance) or Doctor Gregory Victor (Horde) to learn Heavy Runecloth Bandage.

Craft Heavy Runecloth Bandage (2 runecloth per bandage).

Aid quest classic first wow

This Classic WoW First Aid leveling guide will show you the fastest way how to get your First Aid skill up from 1 to 300.

Since First Aid does not take up one of the two profession slots, every player can get it without penalty. It's recommended to all classes as a way of reducing downtime between battles, by quickly restoring health after combat. It is highly recommended for melee classes without healing abilities.

I recommend using Zygor's 1-60 Leveling Guide if you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt. The guide is in a small window on your main screen in-game, all the detail that you need to complete the quests are included. You’ll never have to switch back to a website, or even the in-game main map to see where you have to go or what’s next.

Classic First Aid Leveling

1 - 75

Journeyman First Aid

Visit your trainer and learn Journeyman First Aid.

75 - 150

Training First Aid above 150 - Expert First Aid

Learn the Silk Bandage recipe from your trainer before you leave!

You can train Classic First Aid past 150 with the Expert First Aid - Under Wraps book.

The book is sold by Deneb Walker (Alliance) in Arathi Highlands, and by Balai Lok'Wein (Horde) in Dustwallow Marsh. These vendors also sell the next two bandage recipes so make sure to buy all three! If you are low level then you can just buy the book at the Auction House instead of wasting lots of time running to the vendor. (or if you are lazy like me)

Buy the following three books:

Right-click on the Expert First Aid - Under Wraps in your bag, then you can continue making Silk Bandages. (you have to go back and visit your first aid trainer if you didn't learn the Silk Bandage recipe)

150 - 225

Training First Aid above 225 - Artisan First Aid

You can train Classic First Aid above 225 and learn Artisan First Aid by completing the Triage quests.

Upon reaching a First Aid skill of 225 and level 35, you can start the Alliance Trauma / Horde Trauma quest (optional). These quests will lead you to Triage / Triage in Dustwallow Marsh or Arathi Highlands.

Bring everything you need in order to skill up to 290, as you will need to learn several recipes later from the quest giver NPCs Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen / Doctor Gregory Victor, so bring around 100 x Mageweave Cloth and 70 x Runecloth with you.

You can find Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Dustwallow Marsh at Theramore Isle. He is inside the main keep outside of which all the guards are practicing, NOT the giant tower. Go inside and hook a right, then a left and he's in that corner room. Doctor Gregory Victor is in Arathi Highlands at Hammerfall, walk in, and turn left. He's inside the building to the left just past the entrance.

How to complete the Triage Quest

A few tips for you to make the quest easier:

  • Press CTRL + V to activate the health bar over the heads of the patients for easy health monitoring or tick "Show NPC names" in Interface Options.
  • Pull your camera out to third person so you can see as much of the room as possible.
  • Put the triage bandages the doctor gave you in your action bar. Do not use your own. You can also bind it to any key.
  • Position yourself in the middle of the room.
  • When you see another patient, left-click on them to pre-select them, and as soon as your current heal has finished click the bandages in your action bar and the pre-selected one will begin to heal. Saves valuable seconds this way.
  • Once you saved 15, turn in the quest immediately. I failed it on my druid because I waited, and 6 patients died while I waited which turned 'completed' to 'failed'.

Undead patient --> Critically Injured - Critically injured patients will die after you heal 2 other patients.
Troll patient --> Badly Injured - Badly injured patients will die after you heal 4 other patients.
Orc patient --> Injured - Injured patients have a long time before they die.

Just using that basic knowledge you can prioritize which ones to heal first and next, however just start from the left, and then continue doing them all, they usually won't die before you have finished your round. I did it this way and completed it the first time around.

225 - 300
