The staff I came in contact with was extremely nice and helpful in both places. The car make and model waa great and it ran well.There was an empty cigarette box in the console that I didn't notice until after we departed, and there was no window washer fluid.

The staff in Chattanooga was terrific and helpful. Also liked the car we received. Extremely clean.Dropping off the car in Miami was difficult. The office was hard to find. And then there wasn't sufficient signage to tell us where to stop the car. Had to go inside to get info. There was a large crowd waiting at the counter, and an extra large crowd waiting for free shuttle to the cruise port. Then the driver of the van manhandled my husband's scooter to put it in the van.

Chattanooga rental was GREAT!The car was very nice - sporty and great on gas mileage. Stephen in the Chattanooga office was very helpful and friendly. He did a great job of answering questions and generally making me feel great about the experience.

Front camera sensor was dirty, so no radar ready cruise control, or lane something alert (car jumping into lane in front of me) and some other safety function. Didn't start notifications until I hit the freeway, was on deadline, couldn't return car, had to stop and look up the warning light that kept popping up and beeping, discovered it was a nonessential problem, had to endure whole trip (16 hours) with light constantly going off and beeping. An older car 60,000 miles. That said, brakes and acceleration were excellent, and seat was comfortable. But I figure no way the previous driver didn't notice the warning light constantly going off, and tell the maintenance staff. Perhaps that's not a good assumption, but I feel the car should have been better maintained.

Hertz location closed early on our pick up day without notifying us. We were stuck without a vehicle overnight and missed part of our planned trip. Definitely would not recommend.

Our flight was delayed, and when we got to the airport Hertz was closed. Other rental companies were opened, so we got another car. What car rental company closes at 8:00 p.m. at an International Airport?

We were never able to get our vehicle. The rental counter closed at 8pm and our flight got in at 8:42pm. There was no night pick up, no notification that there would not be anyone at the counter. They didn’t leave the information with any of the other agencies who were all open. We ended up having to get a rental car from another agency. We were fortunate that someone from Dollar was able to help us but we had to pay for 2 cars and then I had to spend the next morning of my vacation contacting Hertz to try to get a refund. Absolute nightmare! If you have a rental coming in that day, you should probably have your rental counter staffed! So disappointed!

Very much ppreciated the employee's helpfulness and willingness to switch my rental vehicle when I found that my first car wasn't that clean.The first car was not at all what I would call clean at all and had a deeper-than-normal wear-and-tear scratch on the driver's door; more of a gouge in the metal. The second car that I drove away with was definitely cleaner, but still not quite at the level I was expecting.

There was a sign informing us that the agent was not available at that time. An 800 number was given but no one answered and the mailbox was full. Paperwork and keys were placed in a Dropbox on the counter but no directions were available.

Turning the vehicle in was quick and painless.My only complaint was that when we picked up our vehicle there was one person at the counter no one to help her.

Never made it to my carNot applicable. I flew into Chattanooga Airport to find that the rental was off- lot, which was fine. I was told that there was a shuttle that Dollar provided for customers. I waited for a little bit, as I was told that it came around. After 20 minutes, I began to call the rental. I tried calling for 25 minutes and NO ONE answered the phone. It was getting late and I ended up having to use a different company. I ended up getting charged way more. I am extremely disappointed with Dollar and the inconvenience caused. Kayak quoted me $23, ended up paying over $60 at Dollar. I reserved an economy car as I was wanting something good on gas and was given a Jeep SUV. Not at all what I was expecting! Should have gone to Enterprise!

Will not rent from Dollar.Did not rent.When we arrived at Dollar they informed us of several new charges... a charge for using a debit card, which was a Visa card and considered a major credit card. Most companies just hold a deposit on your card - they wanted to charge us additional fees per day. Also, they wanted to charge us additional fees for traveling to Indiana.. we had a reservation with unlimited miles and did not know about extra charges to additional states. So what was supposed to be a $38 rental turned into $99 in a matter of minutes. They also had to speak personally to our insurance agent (never had to do this before). We ended up not renting the car and driving our own vehicle which cost us 2 hours of driving time going back and forth to the rental company. I think the change was due to high demand on rentals for that weekend with several festivals going on in the area - they could get more for the vehicle with other rentals. Will not book rental cars through Dollar again.

The Dollar Rent A Car is located offsite at the airport. They are the only company, or so it appeared, that was like this. The other companies have their rental windows right next to baggage claim and the rental cars not too far outside the door. Walking around, it was confusing and not easy to understand where you were suppose to connect. The signage telling you to call them for a shuttle blends in with other airport advertising. Once you call for a shuttle you have to wait outside for 10 minutes and wait for the shuttle, take the 5 minute drive to the car rental place. I arrived at 11 :15 p.m. Their lot was dark and it didn't feel real safe. The car was OK. It was clean and it ran, but the overall hassle of not being at the airport would have made me pay a little extra for convenience.

The price was fabulous. The personnel were nice and gracious. The car was economical on gas. The shuttle driver was prompt both times. The cruise control worked properly. The car was relatively clean.The air conditioner did not work. It would only cool on the Maxair setting. It took me quite a while to figure this out. It was off airport. I had to take a shuttle back and forth. I had to inspect the car myself for any damage caused by the previous driver. An employee had not come to work for this shift, so it was left all to only 1 nice man to do both of their work. I paid for a Toyota Corolla. I received a tiny car with 4 doors. I was not instructed how to find any controls. I think it was a red escort. When I was getting on the highway, I noticed there were no lights, and I had to pull over and read the manual in the glove compartment. The wiper on the rear window was on, and I did not know how to turn it off. I had difficulty turning on and off the interior lights.

Windshield wipersOverall, 99% was excellent. Thank you.I hit a heavy rain on my way home to Memphis. The windshield wipers were horrible. I recommend either replacing them more frequently or applying RainX to the windshield. Ensuring the safety of your driver should be a priority.

After I insisted that the sales person sign something releasing me and stating that she told me that the vehicle was okay to drive, she decided to give me an upgrade instead.

MisleadingMPG was good. Searched for car at the airport and online had several choices. When I chose one it had airport right by the address, so I booked it. The day before the flight Emily calls to confirm. I again asked if this was the airport. She said no, but said she would call them and move it over. No mention that it would cost about $100 more than the $157 it was already that included a $92 fee for returning at a different location. I get to Chattanooga airport and they have no record of my reservation. Had I not had the email it would have been worse.

Was told they didnt have a full size car and was upgrading to a SUV. Then they tried to convince me me to buy their gas package because it would save me money. The whole the sales rep was on the phone talking to a friend. I wnet to the numbered spot and couldnt find a SUV, wqalked around fr a few minutes then used the car alarm to find the car - a toyota camry-CLEARLY NOT AN SUV!
