Lead Cashier (Former Employee) - Manassas, VA - April 4, 2021
I started working for Ulta as a Beauty Advisory. Within about two months I was promoted to Lead Cashier and that is exactly where I stayed for nearly three years at the company, even though I expressed many times that I wanted to move up in the company. I was told that since I do my job so well that if they moved me up, there would be no one to do my job as good as me. Ulta hounds you on numbers every single day that you work. That is all this company cares about. Numbers! Numbers! Numbers! I had the most credit cards opened under my name for three years in my store and districts constantly each week, and it was always "Good job, but you could have done better". Even though I was literally the best in the store and in the district each week for nearly three years. I was promised a annual review and raise, and only got one annual raise even though it is company policy for an annual raise. I did not make good money for the amount of work I did for this company. Absolutely hated it. Would not recommend to anyone.
