Accident/Incident Reports $0.15 Per Page: Police reports are available to the public, consistent with the Florida State Statutes/Public Records Laws. If you are involved in a crash, you can obtain a copy of the report within the first 60 days by filling out a Crash Report Affidavit. Crash reports are also available here under the Crime Information Tab. Your ten digit case number and Florida Driver's License number are required to access the reports on the website. Some crash reports are not available via the website. Crash reports are available to the public after 60 days without a waiver.
Fingerprinting $15 Per Card: Fingerprinting is available to the public at the Police Department located at 100 NW 2nd Avenue, on Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM and on Thursday evenings from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Fingerprinting is also available at the Police Department's substation at the Town Center Mall, located on the second floor of the Nordstrom parking garage, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Only credit cards are accepted at this location. You can purchase a fingerprint card for $1.00. The Police substation number is (561) 544-8500.
Local Background Checks $30: We are able to research any incidents related to a person or address within the City limits. Required data: Name and date of birth, or the local address. A Public Records Request form must be completed and submitted to the Police Department, accompanied by a check for $30 payable to the City of Boca Raton.
Missing/Found Animals - Free: The Department keeps a log of lost or found animals. If you have found an animal, or are looking for a lost pet please call (561) 368-6201.
Color Photographs: The price of photographic prints vary by size:
- 4x6 prints $5
- 5x7 prints $10
- 8x10 prints $15
VIN Verification $15: Vehicle Identification Numbers are verified at the Police Services Department for insurance or title purposes. You do not need an appointment. If you are unable to drive your car, you may come to the Police Department, make your payment and the officer will meet you at the cars location, if it is within the Boca Raton City Limits.
911 Recording/Photos/Audio/Videos:Copies of calls placed to the Communications Center can be released to the public. Any information identifying a caller to 911 will be redacted prior to release, in accordance with Florida State Statutes. You may mail, fax, come in person, or file your request on-line using the City's Public Request Program.Requests are filled after payment has been received. If paying by check, please make payable to the City of Boca Raton.Fees: CD/DVD-$.50 plus labor, VHS $3.50 plus labor, Cassette Tapes $1.20 plus labor, Dual layer DVD $2 plus labor.
