Sidewall Not Available

This describes the sidewall appearance. Examples include Black Sidewall, White Sidewall, and White Letters.

Load Index Not Available

The load index (LI) is a 2 or 3 digit number that corrolates to the maximum amount of weight the tire can carry. For example, a tire with a load index of 87 indicates that the tire can carry a maximim load of 1,201 lbs. In the case of our example the 87 identifies the tires ability to carry a maximum of 1,201 lbs. So 4 tires will carry a maximum of 4,804 lbs. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the recommended minimim Load Index. It is not recommended to install tires with a lower Load Index. By doing so, this could cause your tires to be overloaded thus potentially causing a blowout.... read moreread less

Speed Rating Not Available

Speed Ratings (SR) are based on laboratory tests and indicates the maximum speed the tire can achieve. These tests are based on limited time trials. Higher speed rating tires typically will yield better handling capabilities, but may often result in lower mileage. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the recommended minimum Speed Rating. It is not recommended to install a tire with a lower speed rating as it could affect the handling of your vehicle. It is important to note that speed ratings only apply to tires that have not been damaged, altered, under-inflated or overloaded. Additionally, most tire manufacturers maintain that a tire that has been cut or punctured no longer retains the tire manufacturer's original speed rating, even after being repaired because the tire manufacturer can't control the quality of the repair.... read moreread less

Ply Rating H/16PR

Ply Rating is related to the max load capacity. This value can be defined with a letter or number. The higher the number/letter, the higher the load capacity.

UTQG Not Available

To help consumers evaluate their tires, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) created the Uniform Tire Quality Grading System (UTQG). The UTQG rates tires are rated on their tread-wear, traction performance, and temperature resistance. The grade for each of these can be found on the sidewall of your tire (except for winter tires and certain light truck tires). Click here for more information.... read moreread less

Max Single Load(lbs) 7160The maximum load this tire will support. Remember to multiply this number by the number of tires installed on your vehicle to get the maximum carrying capacity. This number is directly related to the Load Index.Max Single Air Pressure(PSI) 120The maximum air pressure this tire will support. This does not represent the amount of air pressure your tires should have at all times. Consult with your owner's manual to determine the best air pressure you should use for your vehicle.Tread Depth 22.0The amount of tread on the tire. Once the tire is worn to 2/32nds, it is considered fully used and should be replaced at that time. Most tires will have tire indicators in the grooves of the tire to help you determine when the tires are worn down to 2/32nds.Tread Design Not Available

Nondirectional - most common, same tread pattern on inside & outside of the tire. Can be rotated to all four corners of vehicle.
Asymmetrical - tread pattern is different on the inside to the outside of the tire, and must be mounted properly. Can be rotated to all four corners of the vehicle.
Directional tires - roll in only one direction, must be mounted properly. Once mounted they must remain on the same side of the vehicle, and only be rotated front to rear.... read moreread less

  1. Looking to replace steer and narrowed it down to Continental HS3 and Michelin X Line Energy Z.
Both 11R22.5 and 16ply. Anyone with any experience with either brand that could provide any cons or pros would be greatly appreciated.

  3. This is from experience, stay with Michelin X-Line Energy Z or Bridgestone R283a for steer tires and use wheel balancers, like Centramatics.
  4. This is from experience, stay with Michelin X-Line Energy Z or Bridgestone R283a for steer tires and use wheel balancers, like Centramatics.
That's it? That's all we get, your experience? LOL
Just the fact you us centramatics brings your experience into question. LOL

I have run Mich and was impressed with mileage but at $6?? each ??
Bridge R283 not bad but nothing special
I'm running conti's now and have no complaints so far.
  5. Got 224k miles from my last set of Michelins. MD alignment, counteract balance beads, and 125 PSI (14 ply). Never rotated, wore beautifully. Still had 6-7/32 when I traded them in.
  6. Been running Bridgestone R283. Tire blew up. Manufacturer said that it was our fault because tire was underinflated which was total baloney since the truck has just left the house and day prior we checked all tire for proper pressure. Bridgestone had problems with their steers and they would not own up to it....

Michelin Launches X Line Energy Z Steer Tire

NASHVILLE -- Michelin Americas Truck Tires has launched a new steer tire with guarantee that it will 20% more mileage than leading competitors' tires and a 7-year, 3-retread casing guarantee. Michelin's SmartWay-verified X Line Energy Z line-haul steer made its debut at the Technology & Maintenance Council's Annual Meeting in Nashville on Sunday.

Michelin says the tire is guaranteed to deliver 20 percent more mileage than leading competitor line-haul steer tires while also delivering 5 percent better rolling resistance than the MICHELIN XZA3+, the tire it replaces (based on internal rolling resistance tests using ISO28580 in tire size 27580R22.5). It features a new, ultra-fuel-efficient casing, so the improvement in rolling resistance follows the tire throughout its life -- from new to retread.

"Michelin is known for providing industry-leading mileage and even wear. The MICHELIN X Line Energy Z continues that evolution, while also increasing fuel efficiency, so fleets get the best of both worlds.” said Adam Murphy, vice president of marketing for Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “Allowing fleets to get the most out of their line-haul steer tires is what the new MICHELIN X Line Energy Z tire is all about.”

The MICHELIN X Line Energy Z features a patented dual-energy compound tread. The top layer controls tread stiffness and stress to reduce irregular wear. Decoupling grooves and directional miniature sipes promote even tire wear. The bottom layer provides ultra-fuel efficiency and retreadability to minimize internal casing temperatures for low rolling resistance and extended casing life.

Providing maximum retreadability and a casing designed for endurance, the MICHELIN X Line Energy Z comes with the 7/7/3 manufacturer’s limited casing warranty. This includes coverage against defects in workmanship and materials for 700,000 miles, seven years or three retreads from the date of manufacture when retreaded by an authorized Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) dealer. The tire is available March 1 in 11R22.5, 275/80R22.5, 11R24.5 and 275/80R24.5 sizes in both G and H load ranges.

The MICHELIN X Line Energy Z steer tire can be combined with the following tires to offer a complete SmartWay line-haul solution, bringing excellent mileage, even wear and fuel efficiency to every axle:

    • Dual Applications — MICHELIN X Line Energy Z steer tire, MICHELIN X Line Energy D drive tire and MICHELIN X Line Energy T trailer tire.
    • Wide Base Applications — MICHELIN X Line Energy Z steer tire, MICHELIN X One Line Energy D drive tire and MICHELIN X One Line Energy T trailer tire.

But the main thing that Lida taught me is that the girl will give herself, if I can win her over, that I should never ask. The girl. But I was still not experienced and only with Lida behaved like an equal.

    MICHELIN® Tread Talks: MICHELIN® X® Line Energy T2

Mom's leg bends, rests on my shoulder and pushes me sharply. Out of surprise, I fly with a crash from the bed to the threshold of the bedroom. BUT.

    Now discussing:

She, choked up and exhausted, tried to push her shiny head away from her. H-Hans, growling again, the boy snapped his teeth as he struggled with himself. Perhaps he would have simply killed the little girl if he had not loved her earlier, now. His senses sharpened, taking on perverted forms. -Ira.
