Fox 35 orlando weather girl

Fox 35 orlando weather girl DEFAULT

My name is Allison Gargaro and I am a Meteorologist, Host and Lover of food.

Currently I am the weekend Meteorologist at FOX 35 News, WOFL, in Orlando, Florida.

I also host a cooking show called Simply Sweet Allison.

Here is a little bit about my upbringing. I was born and raised in a suburb of Detroit, MI. In middle school, my family traded in snowy winters, for 365 days of sunshine in Phoenix, AZ.

I stayed in Arizona for college and attended the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. I majored in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Meteorology and graduated in May 2017. I took my passion for weather a little further, and graduated from Mississippi State University with a certificate in Broadcast Meteorology in August 2019.

Out of college, I was an MMJ at KERO in Bakersfield, CA. I quickly moved into the Evening Weather Anchor role and gave Kern County their latest forecast four times a night.

I also hosted a cooking show called Simply Sweet Allison. It started as me sharing my favorite recipes in my kitchen. Now, I include some of the most unique restaurants in Kern County. This show is 30-minutes and airs on television, OTT platforms and social media.

My passion for food also helped a local homeless organization in Bakersfield. I made a cookbook called ‘Recipes to the Rescue’ where 100% of the proceeds, $15,000, was donated to The Mission at Kern County. I shared my family recipes and had local figures such as NFL stars Derek and David Carr, Congressman Kevin McCarthy, Bakersfield Mayor Karen Goh and many others share their signature dish. We had appetizers, entrees and desserts present.

Now I am the weekend Meteorologist at FOX 35 Orlando. You can catch me on the air Saturday and Sunday at 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. I am also on during the week sharing the experience of Orlando events to the community.

I love bringing my passion, positive energy and smile to viewers everywhere.
